UK horse racing is not a single entity. It encompasses flat racing on turf and all-weather surfaces, National Hunt racing over hurdles and fences, and Point-to-Point racing — each with its own regulatory structure, season calendar and data characteristics. Our UK dataset focuses on the mainstream licensed racing calendar governed by the BHA (British Horseracing Authority) and Horse Racing Ireland (HRI).What Is CoveredFlat racing (turf and all-weather) — Full results and racecards from 2011 onwards at all licensed UK and Irish flat coursesNational Hunt (hurdles and chase) — Jump racing results and entries with course type and obstacle class encodedSectional times — Available from 2017 at participating courses including major flat venuesHorse, jockey and trainer profiles — Longitudinal career records queryable by entity IDWhat Is Not IncludedPoint-to-Point racing, amateur rides and charity events are not included in the current dataset.
